Le Chocolate Feast is a Sweet Success!

Last weekend the Northwest Arkansas Mall was filled with a lot of generous people - event attendees filling little plastic boxes with delicious chocolate treats, vendors and their staff who were handing out the delicious chocolate treats, and fantastic volunteers who came out to help us keep the crowds managed and lines moving. We are truly fortunate to know so many wonderful people who want to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients.
The money we raised will be used to provide cancer patients with financial support in the form of gasoline cards, prescription assistance, travel expenses for out-of-town consultations, and other life challenges that can make it very difficult for a patient and their caregivers to concentrate on recovery and healing.

And the winners are:
Prizes were awarded in four categories...
Most Creative Dessert was awarded to Washington Regional Catering for their Chocolate Exhibition of Kahlua Mousse, Cherry & Peanut Brittle. The peanuts for their AMAZING brittle were donated by Ozark Natural Foods.
People's Choice Award also went to Washington Regional Catering... did we mention their AMAZING brittle?)
Best Tasting Dessert was awarded by our judges to The Brick House Kitchen for their Shortbread Dipping Sticks with Chocolate Cremes. There were three different cremes - all delicious - and the shortbread cookies had a hint of cinnamon in them. SO yummy!
Best Display went to a rookie vendor this year - Bliss Cupcakes! They presented their Marshmallow Brownie Delight cupcakes on a lovely silver stand and hung silver pieces behind them as well. Very simple and classy. And the cupcakes were tasty, of course...

Each of the winners received one-of-a-kind handmade plates designed and created by Susan Hutchcroft at the Northwest Arkansas Community Creative Center. You can see a couple in the middle picture featuring the folks from Washington Regional. Congrats to all of our winners! It was a tough job to pick from all the great vendors - we don't envy our judges.
